At tennerr, we take the safety of our community very seriously. That is why we may ask our users to verify their identity through an official government ID. Completing this process may be necessary to offer jobs on our platform and can also earn you an “Identity Verified” badge on your profile.
ID Verification The ID verification process must be completed on a mobile device. If you start the process on a desktop, you will be given the option to be redirected to a mobile device through a QR code or link sent via SMS. Once on a mobile device, you will be required to:
- Add a clear photo of an official government ID (driver’s license, passport, etc.) from the list of available documents (depending on your country of residence).
- Take a real-time selfie.
Note: Photos must be taken in a well-lit space and be clear and sharp for the best chance of approval. Do not use scanned images of yourself or your ID as they cannot be verified.
As part of the ID verification process, we use a third-party job provider’s identity verification software. The software first validates that your image is from an official government ID and that your selfie is authentic. It then compares the two images you upload to determine whether the uploaded ID and selfie are authentic images that match.
This process is necessary to ensure that the document submitted represents you and is not copied from other sources.
Data Protection and Usage The collection and processing of ID cards are required to maintain a trustworthy community and marketplace and to enforce our terms of job. Your ID will not be used for any other purpose or shared with other users. The copy of your ID will be kept only for as long as necessary and for the purpose explained above.
